Lela, a tomboy, struggles to uncover the truth behind her mother’s mysterious deaths while being haunted by spirits and weighed down by the weight of untold secrets.. I watched this with a bunch of friends with no expectations and it absolutely lived up to those expectations. This movie doesn’t do anything interesting for me and sometimes it kind of drags on with the more cheerful scenes. While I appreciate that he’s trying to add an aspect of mystery to the story, his attempts end up messing up the pacing a bit and I find it a bit out of place at times. It’s worth it though, I did appreciate the more graphic scenes towards the end as it was the least boring part about the horror of the film and I appreciate the message the film is trying to convey. Also, I can’t be too hard on the movie as I found it decent to watch and not too bad in the end.
